September Orchestra Notes From Ms. Lamons

NOTE: Thursday, September 2 we are having a ‘Meet and Greet’ from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in
the Orchestra Room. Parents should bring all signed paperwork, orchestra fees, and
instrument rental fees, and students will get fitted for their uniform at that time. If you have
any other questions I will be glad to entertain them that evening. I will look forward to
seeing you on September 2nd and at Back-to-School Night on September 30th. Feel free
to contact me at any time with comments or questions.
Also please note our new web page for District 10 Honors Orchestras (DHO), where you
can download Junior and Senior excerpts. Auditions take place on November 16, 2010.

The Carl Sandburg Middle School Orchestras include 3 orchestras -- String Ensemble,
Concert, and Symphonic -- with over 85 students in the program. More info. Students are
placed in orchestras based on ability. Students audition for a seat in Symphonic Orchestra.

youth orchestra.
Incoming 7th grade and transfer students please visit About the program page.
Parents: we welcome your participation in events that help us raise money toward
maintaining and improving our award-winning orchestra program. Boosters/patrons page.
Giving: if you would like to give a monetary or in-kind donation please visit our
Boosters/patrons page. We have photos of our instruments we would like to replace.
